We have received a stack of feedback from our members since the last time we made changes to the GetJealous.com design, and are confident that we have come back with something that everyone will love. We have been keen to keep the easy to use navigation the same, but have taken away the old pasty grey, and replaced it with more vibrant colours. The members area has been updated so that you no longer have to dig around to find what you want to do. Everything is just one click away, giving you less time in an Internet Cafe and more time travelling!
Upload Movies to your Travel Blog
Sorry that it has taken us so long, but we finally have the ability to offer you movies on your blog. We have teamed up with VideoEgg and Fliqz to provide a simple to use facility for uploading movies from disk, video camera, or even your mobile phone. Now you can really show your friends what you are up to!
Larger Photos
Since May 2005 we have been storing all your photos on our server in higher quality, however the old design never let us take advantage of this. With the new design all photos uploaded after this date will appear larger and more vibrant.
Diary Formatter, and Spell Check
The next time that you write a diary entry, you will be excited to see our new diary editor. You can now format the font within your diaries as if you were using your favourite word processor. You are also able to spell check your entry after you have written it.
Purchase Photo Prints
What do you do once your trip is over and you get home? You probably don't want to use the Internet everytime you look at your photos. We now offer a service to order photo prints directly from your GetJealous site. Either order a couple of photos, or order them all, at a great value price. We understand that some of our members may not want their photos to be available for sale. You can disable this service from your blog by logging into your members area and clicking on 'Customise My Site'.
Christmas Gifts
Christmas is on its way again, as is the difficulty of buying presents. If you have a friend going travelling, then why not buy them a GetJealous.com gift voucher for their trip? Or if they have just returned then get them a DVD of their site, or some photo prints? All these services are available on your home page.
We receive constant feedback from our members, and take as much as possible on board. Based on this feedback, we are already developing new features for next year. Our main focus in the first quarter will be on enhancing the mapping. We are also working on an advanced search that will allow you to find more about the places you want to go to, before you go, from travellers who have already been there.
